The Pineal Gland & The Benefits of Ionized Water
Published by Alkaline Water Plus
What is the Pineal Gland?
Deep inside the brain is a small gland, the size of an almond, that is of the utmost importance to physical, mental, and spiritual health and well-being.
It produces melatonin, an essential hormone for sleep regulation, heart health, and mental wellness. [By the way, I'm not suggesting anyone take melatonin. As a matter of fact, that could be dangerous. The healthy pineal gland's natural processes are the only safe way to get your body's melatonin needs.]
Pineal Calcification
Calcification in the pineal is the accumulation of calcium phosphate crystals. This gland has the highest calcification rate among all organs and tissues of the human body. When the pineal calcifies, it loses its ability to do its job, which causes a variety of health issues. (See articles on pineal gland calcification from Science.gov)
Studies show that many people (over 35%) are inflicted with pineal gland calcification.
Causes of Pineal Gland Calcification
One of the most significant contributors to pineal calcification is fluoride in the water. This harmful chemical has a high affinity for the pineal gland. Other toxic chemicals and heavy metals can also contribute to pineal calcification. It's crucial to be aware of these dangers and take steps to avoid them. Oxidative stress is also another critical contributor.
Age is a contributor because the older you are, the more stress you've most likely put on your body over the years.
Health Issues Caused by Pineal Gland Calcification
Calcification of the pineal gland is known to cause some very severe conditions like insomnia, migraines, Alzheimer's disease, and mental stress/illness.
How to Decalcify the Pineal Gland
- First, stop consuming fluoride and other harmful chemicals. A quality water filtration system with a fluoride filter will remove much of this.
- Consume antioxidant-rich ionized water and foods rich in antioxidants to combat oxidative stress.
- Cut processed foods out of your diet.
- Get regular, daily sun exposure (without sunglasses). The pineal gland has photoreceptors that are activated by the sun's light. [It should be noted that darkness also activates the pineal gland, so sleep in a completely dark room if it helps you sleep better.]
- If you're inside a fair amount of the day, remove fluorescent lights and switch to full-spectrum lightbulbs (more consistent with natural light.)
- Physical activity increases blood flow, which aids in decalcifying the pineal gland.
- Stir 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar into an 8-ounce glass of ionized water and drink just before bed. Repeat in the morning just after you wake up. I love this routine because it works like a charm to help me get the best sleep and then feel my best during the day.
The Pineal Gland & Alkaline Ionized Water
Ionized water can calm or stimulate the pineal gland and brain in general in a natural way that harmonizes with your body's needs. Read more about Ionized Water and the Pineal Gland.
How Do You Know Your Pineal is Working Well?
Mental clarity, no trouble sleeping, and a calm, happy emotional disposition would signal that the pineal was working well. In other words, if you lack the symptoms of a calcified gland, you likely don't have it.
You can also get your melatonin levels tested. If your pineal produces adequate melatonin, that would signal a healthy state.
However, keeping one's glands in good shape is an active process. I drink alkaline ionized water regularly throughout the day, which helps to keep all my cells, organs, and glands in good shape. I often notice a distinct mental clarity and calm satisfaction when I do. No other water has ever given me such a feeling of well-being.
Ionized Water's Effect on the Pineal Gland
Dr. Mona Harrison, Chief Medical Officer of the DC Hospital, Assistant Dean of the BU School of Medicine, and Director of the International Water Council, has done much research on the effects of alkaline ionized water on the pineal gland and other body systems.
Here are some conclusions she made about ionized water.
- After years of research, she concludes that ionized water is the only safe and bioavailable water for the pineal gland and the body (i.e., brain, lungs, heart, skin, intestines, muscle, etc.).
- Alkaline ionized water allows water to enter cells to hydrate and heal them. It can lower blood pressure and blood sugar, shrink an enlarged prostrate, stimulate sex drive, improve vision, and improve MS and Parkinson's disease, just to name a few.
- She also reports that Alzheimer's patients, who have drunk about a gallon of ionized water a day, have experienced relief from their condition, and children with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) have been calmed by drinking ionized water.
Reviving a Dysfunctional Pineal Gland
Drinking ionized water could be a significant way to prevent or reverse calcification of the Pineal Gland. This simple and safe remedy, along with the other suggestions in this article, can empower you to take control of your health and well-being. None of these remedies have any adverse effects on the body, so even if you only suspect a problem with your Pineal Gland, it's worth trying.
- Avoid dehydration (Drink about a gallon of ionized water per day)
- Eat good food (organic fruits & veggies and naturally raised meats)
- Add turmeric to your diet as an extra protective measure.
- Don't be close to electronics for too long of a period.
- Take things in stride and let them go. In other words, don't get stressed out about things, and find ways to make your life happy. Your mental well-being is just as important as your physical health, and taking care of both is essential.
- Eat some natural sprouts daily, along with other natural foods.
- Add lemon to your ionized water sometimes.
- Avoid Teflon and plastics for food preparation and storage.
- Sound therapy, using healing frequencies, is also suggested.
