Buy H3 Comprehensive Water Filter System. Best filtration ever!
The H3 pre-filter system offers triple protection with a pre-filter set up which is perfect for city water. It has three stages of heavy-duty, long-lasting filtration. These filters typically last about 1500 gallons, or one year. If you want the very best in water filtration, you will get that by choosing the H3.
The H3 comes with the following filters:
- KDF 85 to remove every kind of heavy-metal there is, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, chlorine and more;
- Activated Alumina to remove fluoride; and
- Supercarbon [Catalytic Carbon] to remove Chloramines, a whole array of other hard-to-remove chemicals and improve taste.
Filter replacements can be purchased separately.
The H3's triple housing:
H3 stands for 3-housings. To hold the filter cartridges in place, a filter housing is needed. The housing includes 1/4 inch quick-connect fittings to connect to the 1/4 inch water supply hose feeding your water ionizer. Note: The H3 does not include the 1/4 inch hose, as it is assumed that you already have sufficient hosing with your water ionizer. If you would like hosing included please order that on our accessories page. Hosing is also available in many hardware stores. The H3 also is meant for use with a water ionizer. It is not meant as a stand-alone filter system which comes with a spout. However it can be used alone if you install a simple filter-faucet purchased from a local hardware store. No pipe/faucet connections or spout is included.
The capacity of each filter inside the housing varies according to usage and source water levels of contamination, and is typically good for about a year of use. The filter housing itself is good for approximately 7 years or so. Each housing measures 11.5" x 5" x 10"
The H3 Filter System comes standard with the following filters:
Filter #1: KDF 85
KDF 85 -Heavy Metal Reduction Cartridge: The KDF filter specializes in removing inorganics, heavy metals and chlorine, while the Granular activated coconut-shell carbon removes organic matter. KDF filter media controls scale, bacteria and algae. Filter removes: sediment, chlorine, lead, mercury, arsenic, copper, scale, lime, VOCs, THMs, and much more! The KDF 85 filter media also removes sulphur and iron.
Filter # 2: ALF
ALF stands for Arsenic, Lead and Fluoride. Activated Alumina is the only reliable filter media for effective fluoride and arsenic removal. This filter media will remove up to 99% of fluoride, arsenic, & lead. It does so by attracting the fluoride to it, chemically, at which time the fluoride is then trapped forever in the filter. Fluoride is such a small element that it even gets through reverse osmosis and distillation units, however it won't get through this filter once it's bonded to the activated alumina filter media. Even if you're not concerned about fluoride, because maybe you have well water or something, you will still be likely to want the Activated Alumina filter, because it is the #1 filtration method for removal of arsenic [which is tasteless and can affect wells seasonally so does not always show up on tests.] It is also an excellent media for the removal of lead, which can show up in wells and causes brain damage.
Filter # 3: SuperCarbon
SuperCarbon Prefilter [catalytic carbon] is the best filter media for chlorine/chloramine removal. The most effective way to economically reduce chloramines is through the use of specially designed carbon (catalytic). Our high capacity filter has been designed for up to 1,500 gallons of use or about one year. Catalytic Carbon is extremely porous and even better than granular activated carbon [GAC]. It provides the largest surface area of any other filter for contaminants to collect and is the filtration media of choice for removing chloramine, chlorine, Hydrogen Sulfide, MTHB, VOCs, pesticides, herbicides, pharmaceuticals, bad tastes, odors, & many other toxins.
Pre-filters usually need to be replaced every 1000 - 1500 gallons (about 1 year on average).
Installation Instructions:
The H3 System doesn't come with installation instructions. It is usual to get a plumber or handy-person to install it, however I have posted videos here to instruct you in the event you prefer to install it yourself. It is essential that with any filter system installed under your sink that you install it properly, because it's out of sight and you may risk a lot of potential water damage if you don't install it correctly.
Return Policy on Filters: We sell only the highest quality filters and inspect every batch in our facility. All filter sales are final. There are no refunds on filters for any reason. If a filter was damaged in shipping we will send a replacement and the damaged filter must be returned to us within 10 business days or we must charge full price for it.
