Nexus & Smart Citric Acid Cleaning Cartridge

The Nexus Citric Acid Cleaning Cartridge is an easy-to-use solution to hard water scaling within any Nexus water ionizer.

Citric Acid Cleaning Cartridge Directions:

1. Gently tilt the Top Spout up above the height of the ionizer & clip the acidic hose at an equal height.
2. Remove the filter and insert the Citric Acid Cleaning Cartridge & lock in place.
3. Run the water ionizer on Low-Alkaline mode at a slow trickle until it starts to come out of the tip of the spout.
4. Let it sit for about an hour or so, overnight is fine if there is a lot of mineral scale, but multiple cleanings may be required.
5. When finished, set the machine hoses back to normal. 
6. Remove the empty Citric Acid Cleaning Cartridge and return the filter to its normal position, or replace for a filter change.
7. Rinse the machine for about a minute once you have the normal filter in properly. Use the neutral (filtered water) mode for this step.

Note: The Jupiter and Nexus Citric Acid Filters are the same. With Jupiter ionizers, remove the rubber gasket at the bottom of the filter and it will fit.
